I was so self sufficient
Somehow I never felt whole
As I faced temptation
The Devil he came for my soul
He could see my every weakness
And whispered “No one will know”
You see sin always takes me
Much farther than I want to go

So don’t give up on me dear God
I failed You again

Don’t know where to begin
I guess one bad choice can lead
To the trouble I’m in

As I’m in situations
You test and I come undone
It weighs almost nothing
So why can’t I hold my tongue
For some life’s a journey
For me it’s one bumpy ride
And I can’t settly my conflicts out there
Till I find peace inside
